City of Herndon, Kansas

Herndon is located in Rawlins, [RA], county beside Beaver Creek. Highway K-117 and the BNSF railroad connect Herndon to the rest of the world.  Downtown, there are several interesting buildings: the bank, the post office, and the pool hall.

Although Herndon is a small rural community it offers a variety of services. It has city-provided electricity service (including a backup generator), water, sewer, locker, and street maintenance. There is cable service available, natural gas, as well as a newspaper provided through the Square Deal in Atwood, the county seat of Rawlins County.
